Other information you may want ot know about Feature Walls...

The Feature Wall is key to your whole design concept of a given space.  Feature Wall is not a type of product as some may have misconceived it to be.  There are many ways to go about doing up a lovely feature wall with the most basic being painting it with a different colour or tone from the rest of the walls.  Using wall coverings or masonry methods to render texture to the surface is another.  Others may be the use of mirrors, grille boards, stone veneers, or even bamboo poles and water-features.  The purpose really is to make it stand out among the rest of the design.

The choice of materials and methods for feature wall is rather important.  Design wise they have to be in harmony with the orientation of the space, your choice of furnishings, your lifestyle, and certainly your budget.

Murals For Every Occasion

Here is a word of caution to all home owners; Use as little furniture glue as possible.  Such glue are used to bond laminates to raw furniture boards as well as carpets if grippers and underlay are not being used.

Allow for a longer period of airing and ventilating for the concentrated fumes to go away before moving in to stay.

Because of the extent of chemicals being used to treat raw materials in the furnishing industry, and also chemicals used during the installation process, it would be prudent to allow a long period of air change before moving into the home.  Industry critics have also mentioned that chemicals emitting formaldehyde fumes continues for a very long period.

There is also a wet wall effect that owners may wish to take note.  This happens due to difference between internal and external temperature, causing condensation to occur.  The moisture when formed gets trapped between wall coverings and the wall, and overtime, stains appear.  In most cases, owners deemed it is time for a total change of  wall coverings.
